On 8 Feb 2024, at about 06 20, a fire broke out by the owner Daw Win Win Htay's  (32x15) liquor shop at Mankein Quarter, Myitkyinar Township, Kachin State. It was investigated that the  fire started  from refrigerator safeguard overload. According to the report, an administrative vehicle and 5 firefighting vehicles from Bago District, Township Fire Stations and Phayargyi Local Fire Station cooperated with auxiliary fire members extinguished the fire. At about 06 45, the fire was completely extinguished. Due to the fire, 11refrigerators and 11 refrigerator safeguards were lost. It is known that the Phayargyi Local Police Station has opened  a case under Section 285, of the Penal Code (Pa) 19/2024 against Daw Win Win Htay, the owner  of the shop.
