On 6 Feb 2024, at about 11 25,a fire broke out by the owner U Bon Take' s (70x16) cargo ship near No (1) Jetty, Nautlal Quarter, Myeik Township, Thanintharyi Region. It is investigated that the fire stated filling petrol from oil  bowser and the oil overflowing to the stove. Upon the information, an ambulance, a search and rescue vehicle, 23 firefighting vehicles, an administrative vehicle from Myeik District, Township and Auxiliary Fire Stations, 4 water bowsers and 12 ambulances from Myeik Volunteer Organization and cooperated with auxiliary fire members extinguished the fire. At about 13 00, the fire was completely extinguished the fire. A man and a woman were injured and transferred to the Myeik Civil Hospital. Due to the fire, (70' 8''x16'6'') cargo ship's body, 2 motorbikes, an engine, 5 petrol tanks and  (67'x15'4'') cargo ship's body were lost. It  is learned that Myeik Township Fire Station has opened  a case under Section 285/337 of the Penal Code (Pa) 18/2024 against U Bon Take, the owner  of the cargo ship.
