On 1 March 2024, at about 02 15am, Yangon Fire Services Department  received a report indicating that a fire had broken out at the U Wanna' (240x60) ship, located at Yangon River, Alatchaung Quarter, Satsan,  Kyimyindine Township, Yangon Region. It was investigated that while transferring the petrol  with Submersible Pump, due to the pump overload and caused a fire and spread to the oil. Upon the information, fire engines from Kyimyindine, Alone, Kamaryut, Sanchaung Township Fire Stations using an administration vehicle, 5 firefighting vehicles, 10 portable fire pumps and Natthar ship from Inland Water Transport and cooperated with auxiliary fire members extinguished the fire. At about 03 35am, the fire was completely extinguished. In case of  fire, 2 men were lost , 2 men were dead and a man was injured. Due to the fire, the belly of ship that carried diesel, (32'x30) deck and 800 gallons of diesel were destroyed. It is known that U Mg Than Lwin was opened the file in accordance with 285 and 304(A), Pa (15/2023) of the Code of Criminal Procedure by Botahtaung Township Police Station.
