On 29 February 2024, at about 08 13, fire broke out at the U Myint Khing's (10x40) 1-storey house located in Kyunshwemying Road, (18/D) ward, Dagon Myothit (South), Yangon region. It was investigated that while the electric fan was turned on, the motor of fan was overheated and a spark fell on the nearby Sofa causing fire. Upon the information, 14 fire engines from fire stations in Yangon Region were dispatched to the fire. The fire was completely extinguished at 08 34. Due to the fire, a total of 3 buildings and belongings were burned. The Dagon Myothit (South) police station has opened a case according to the section 285 of the penal code against the U Myint Khaing, the owner of the house for his negligence.
