On 17 Feb 2024, at about 05 00, a fire broke out by the owner U Win Aung's (10x15) 2 at Seinpan Road, No(1) Quarter, Mawlamying Kyun Township, Latputta District, Ayyarwaddy Region. The fire started from lighting the mosquito coil and spread to the blanket and mosquito-net. According to the report,  the fire services personnel from Mawlamying Kyun Township Fire Station  with 4 firefighting vehicles extinguished the fire. At about 05 20, the fire was completely extinguished.  It is learned that Mawlamying KyunTownship Police Station has opened a case under Section 285 of the Penl Code (Pa) 33/2024 against U Than Htut Win, the renter of the house.
