On 14 Feb 2024, at about 07 08, a fire broke out by the owner Daw Lay May Nyo's (20x30) 2 storey building at Mankein Quarter Myitkyinar Township, Kachin State. The fire started from wire overload and spread to the bamboo wall. According to the report, 3 firefighting vehicles from Myitkyinar District Fire Station cooperated with auxiliary fire members extinguished the fire. At about 07 33, the fire was completely extinguished.  It is learned that Myitkyinar Township Police Station has opened a case under Section 285 of the Penl Code (Pa) 18/2024 against Daw Lay May Nyo, owner of the house.
