On 3.2.2023 at about 11 21, Thingangyun township fire station received the information that fire broke out at the liquor shop located at the above mentioned place. It was investigated that the fire was caused by a spark falling on the disposable tissue and bottles from the roof of the building during the welding to repair the roof. Upon the information, total of 26 fire engines, 15 water bowsers, 7 supportive vehicles, 4 administrative vehicles and 343 fire fighters responded to the fire. The fire was completely extinguished at 11 55.Due to the fire, the shop and other items inside the building were burned. It is known that Thingangyun Township police station has opened a case under Section 285 of the Penal Code against the welder U Win Maw.
