On 26 February 2024, at about 10 40, Kyaukpantaung Township Fire Station received a report indicating that a fire had broken out in a building, a single measuring 40 by 30 feet and owned by Daw Thuzar Toe. It was investigated that the fire spread from cooking to pulm leaf cover in the building. Upon the information, fire engines from Kyaukpantaung Township and local fire stations were sent the fire and the fire was completely extinguished at 11 00. Due to the fire, four bamboo houses and two cow stables were lost. It is learned that the Kyaukpantaung township Police station has opened a case under Section 285 of the Penal Code (Pa) 14/2024 against Daw Thuzar Toe, the owner of the house.
