24.5.2022, at about 11 30am, the houses were destroyed due to tornado at Alope Village, Paung Township, Thaton District, Mon State. At about 11 40am, according to the report, 1 firefighting vehicle from Paung Township Fire Station, 1 firefighting vehicle from Thaton District Fire Station, 1 firefighting vehicle from Zinkyike Township Fire Station, 1 firefighting vehicle from Alope Township Fire Station, 1 firefighting vehicle from Motetama Township Fire Station with 17 fire services personnel and 20 auxiliary fire members cooperating with other relevant organization cleaned and removed the debris and fallen tree. Due to the tornado, 3 monastery,83 houses were damaged and 5 houses were destroyed and a woman was injured and she was transferred to the Alope Civil Hospital by the ambulance of Seiktathukha volunteer organization. At about 16 45pm, cleaning work accomplished.
