On 29.9.2023 at about 10 03 AM, West district fire station received the report that a fire broke out at  Daw Khin Ye Myint's (20'x45') the ground floor of the 2 storey building in Innyarmyaing Street, Shwe Taung Kyar (2) Quarter, Bahan Township, Yangon Region . The fire started from electric kettle overheated. According to the report, firefighters from West District fire station, Sanchaung Township fire station, Hlaing Township fire station, Ahlone Township fire station, Kamaryutt Township fire station and Yankin Township fire station  extinguished the fire with 8 fire engines  and an administrative vehicle and at about 10 36 AM , the fire was completely out. Due to the fire, (30'x20') 2 storey building was burned and 2 women were killed. The owner Daw Khin Ye Myint (dead) was opened the file in accordance with 285, Pa (305/2023) of the Code of Criminal Procedure by BahanTownship Police Station.
