On 19.5.2023 at about 09 12, North Okkalapa township fire station was reported that fire broke out at the staff housing at the above mentioned place. It was investigated that the fire spread to the nearby clothes and wall from the mosquito coil placed at the upper floor.Upon the information, total of 45 fire engines with 280 fire fighters and 98 auxiliary fire fighters responded to the fire. The fire was completely extinguished at 09 44.Due to the fire, the entire staff housing with interior items were burnt. It is known that North Okkalapa township police station has opened a case under the section 285 of the Penal Code against the owner.
