On 20.2.2023 at about 11 02, Kyaukse township fire station received the information that the fire broke out at house owned by U Chit The Maung in Magyitan village tract, Kyaukse township, Mandalay region. It was investigated that the fire started from the residue of the cooking place and spread to the nearby wall. Upon the information, total of 7 fire engines and 35 fire fighters cooperating with the auxiliary fire fighters and local organizations were deployed to extinguish the fire, and the fire was extinguished at 11 45. As a result of the fire, total of 25 houses were destroyed. It is known that Kyaukse Township Police station has opened a case under Section 285 of the Penal Code against U Chit The Maung, the owner of the building.
