On February 17, 2025, at approximately 2:55 PM, a fire broke out in a residential house that located on Thura Lane, Daw Tama Ward, Loikaw City, Kayah State. The fire started due to  overheating the electric rice cooker and spread to the wooden wall and causing the fire. The  30x40 feet house that owned by U Tin Tun Soe. According to the report, firefighters from Office of the Head of the Kayah State Fire Services Department, Loikaw District and Township fire Stations extinguished with four fire engines and three water bowsers. The fire was successfully extinguished by 3:30 PM. Due to the fire, a 30x40 feet single-story house , a 30x20 feet single-story house, a black KENBO (125) motorcycle and a black DAING (110) motorcycle were destroyed. The owner, U Tin Tun Soe, has been charged under case number (P) 51/2025 at the Loikaw Township Police Station, under Section 285 of the Penal Code for negligence of fire.
