On February 7, 2025, at approximately 2:01 PM, a fire broke out at a (15x15) ft, single-story house that owned by U Hla Win Htut, located in Chan Mya Tharzi Ward, between (114x115), Yanman Lane (8), Pyigyidagun Township, Mandalay Region. The fire started due to overheated charging fan, and spread to the near wooden wall. According to the report, firefighters from Pyigyidagun Township Fire Station, Chan Mya Tharzi Auxiliary Fire Station, Takhuntaing Auxiliary Fire Station, Thingangone Auxiliary Fire Station, and Lawkapala Auxiliary Fire Station, along with auxiliary firefighters, extinguished with 3 administrative vehicles, 6 fire trucks and 2 water bowsers. The fire was successfully extinguished at 2:15 PM. Due to the fire, the entire (15x15) ft house and six aluminum doors on the upper floor of a nearby (35x10) ft, two-story RC house were destroyed by fire. Additionally, U Hla Win Htut, the house owner, has been charged under Section 285 of the Penal Code at Pyigyidagun Township Police Station (Case No. (P) 31/2025).
