On February 6, 2025, at approximately 3:05 PM, a fire broke out at a (12x15) ft, that owned by Daw Win, located on Mupun Toechae (8) Street, Kyauk Tan Ward, Mawlamyine City, Mawlamyine District, Mon State. The fire was started due to overheating of an electric stove and spread to the nearby wooden walls. According to the report, firefighters from Mawlamyine District Fire Station and Mawlamyine Township Fire Station, along with auxiliary firefighters, collaborated with relevant organizations to respond with 2 fire trucks, 4 water bowsers. The fire was successfully extinguished at 3:30 PM. Due to the fire, the entire (12x15) ft house was completely destroyed. Additionally, U Aung Kyaw, the house caretaker, has been charged under Section 285 of the Penal Code at Mupun Township Police Station (Case No. (P) 24/2025).
