On 7 August 2026, at about 6:30 a.m.  the overflow of the Taingyan Chaungma Creek in Mattaya Township, Mandalay Region, caused floodwater to overflow onto the road between Mileposts No. (25/1) and (25/6). According to the report, firefighters and auxiliary firefighters from Mattaya Township Fire Station, in cooperation with members of the Mattaya Rescue Association and the Red Cross, proceeded to the site and assisted with traffic management and related safety measures to facilitate the safe passage of travelers.
