At approximately 11:30 a.m. on 10 July 2026, a Padauk tree fell within the compound of Basic Education High School No. 4, Hlaing Ward, Mawlamyine, Mon State, due to heavy rainfall. Upon receiving the report, one fire engine and firefighters from the Mawlamyine Township Fire Station were dispatched to the scene. In coordination with the relevant authorities, they carried out clearance operations, which were completed at approximately 12:30 p.m. As a result of the incident, one motorcycle parking shelter, measuring approximately 60 feet by 15 feet and constructed with a corrugated iron roof and timber posts, sustained damage.
