At approximately 1:00 p.m. on 10 July 2026, due to heavy rainfall in Mong Khat Township, Shan State, the water level of the Nam Khat Creek rose and overflowed onto the Kengtung–Mong Khat Road between Mile Posts 46/3 and 46/4, with floodwater approximately 4 feet deep covering the roadway. Upon receiving the report, one fire engine and firefighters from the Mong Khat Township Fire Station were dispatched to the scene. In coordination with the relevant authorities, they assisted in facilitating the safe and convenient passage of travelers through the affected area.
