At approximately 1:15 p.m. on 9 July 2026, a report was received that a Leucaena tree (approximately 3 feet in circumference and 20 feet in height) had fallen due to heavy rainfall within the compound of Basic Education High School (Thawutti), located in Kwet Thit Ward, Thawutti Town, Lewe Township, Nay Pyi Taw. Upon receiving the report, firefighters from the Thawutti Area Fire Station responded with one fire engine and carried out tree clearance operations. The operation was completed successfully at approximately 2:00 p.m. There were no injuries or casualties and no property damage resulting from the incident.
