At approximately 7:15 a.m. on 9 July 2026, a report was received that a branch of a Kokko tree had broken off due to decay and fallen onto the 20 ft × 15 ft corrugated iron-roofed, bamboo-mat-walled house owned by U Hla Kywe, located on Thabye Nyo Road, Zay Ward, Hsipaw Township, Shan State. Upon receiving the report, firefighters and auxiliary firefighters from the Hsipaw Township Fire Station responded with one fire engine and carried out clearance operations. The operation was completed successfully at approximately 10:30 a.m. As a result of the incident, 16 sheets of corrugated iron roofing and four bamboo wall panels (measuring approximately 10 ft × 10 ft each) were damaged. No injuries or casualties were reported.
