At approximately 4:24 p.m. on 3 July 2026, a report was received that a fire had broken out in the upstairs bedroom of a two-storey reinforced concrete (RC) residential house that owned by U Shin Thant Kyaw (30 years old), located on Lower Strand Road, between 23rd and 24th Streets, Thiri Malar West Ward, Aungmyaythazan Township, Mandalay Region. The fire was caused by overheating of an electrical socket. Upon receiving the report, firefighters and auxiliary firefighters from the Aungmyaythazan Township Fire Station, Aungmyaythazan Auxiliary Fire Station, Thiri Malar East Auxiliary Fire Station, and Thiri Malar West Auxiliary Fire Station responded with two fire engines and three water bowsers to carry out firefighting operations. The fire was successfully extinguished at approximately 4:38 p.m. As a result of the fire, one wardrobe and a small quantity of clothing were damaged by fire. Legal action has been taken against the owner, U Shin Thant Kyaw (30 years old), by No. 5 Myoma Police Station under Case No. (P) 66/2026, in accordance with Section 285 of the Penal Code.
