At approximately 12:55 PM on June 3, 2026, a fire broke out at a single-story residence that located in Ward (1), Shwe Pyi Thar Ward, Myitkyina Township, Kachin State. The property is owned by U Naing Lin Kyaw, aged 42. The fire originated from the overheating of an air conditioner safeguard. According to the report, firefighters from the Myitkyina District and Township Fire Stations responded to the scene with two fire engines, one fire pump vehicle, and two water bowsers to extinguish the fire. The fire was successfully brought under control and extinguished by 1:20 PM. Due to the accident, the 40x20 feet, single-story brick-nogging house was completely destroyed by the fire. Legal action has been initiated against the owner, U Naing Lin Kyaw (42), by the Myitkyina Area Police Station under case number (Pa) 103/2026, Section 285 of the Penal Code.
