On June 3, 2026, at approximately 8:00 AM, due to heavy rainfall and strong winds,  a tree, fell and block the upper Paw Oo Road in Aye Yeik Nyein Ward, Kawthaung Township, Tanintharyi Region. According to the report, firefighters  from the Kawthaung Township Fire Station responded to the scene with one search and rescue vehicle,  clearing operations. The operations were successfully completed at 12:30 PM. It is reported that there were no casualties, though property damage was incurred due to the incident.
