On 1 June 2026, at approximately 00:52 hours, a fire broke out at a house owned by U Soe Thar, aged 32, located in Ward No. 12, Myingyan Township, Mandalay Region. The fire started due to overheating of electrical wiring running from the electricity meter box to the main switchboard inside the house, which subsequently ignited the nearby bamboo wall.Upon receiving the report, firefighters from the Myingyan District and Township Fire Station, Myingyan Township Fire Station, and the Industrial Zone Auxiliary Fire Station, together with members of the White Hands Charity Association, responded to the scene. Firefighting operations were carried out using nine fire engines and ten water bowsers, and the fire was successfully extinguished at 02:20 hours. Due to the fire, a total of thirteen houses and one house partially  were destroyed. The owner, U Soe Thar (32), has been charged by the Myingyan Myoma Police Station under Case No. (Pa) 26/2026 under Section 285 of the Penal Code.
