On May 29, 2026, at approximately 10:35 AM, due to heavy rainfall, a  tree, measuring approximately 20 feet in circumference and 30 feet in height, uprooted and toppled as the soil loosened, blocking  the road at the corner of Chauk-Bagan Road and Anawrahta Road in Zay Ward, No. (9) Ward, Chauk Township, Magway Region. Upon receiving the report, firefighters from the Chauk Township Fire Station deployed with one firefighting vehicle to conduct clearance operations. The operations were successfully completed by 11:50 AM. It is reported that there were no casualties or property damage resulting from the incident.
