On 19 April 2026, at about 2:00 p.m., due to rainfall and strong winds a banyan tree branch fell near the temporary night market on Ziwaka Road, Local (10), Bota Ward, Naungcho Township, Kyaukme District, Shan State. According to the report, firefighters from the Naungcho Township Fire Station, in cooperation with the Township Municipal Committee, responded with one fire engine and carried out clearance operations. The operation was completed at 3:15 p.m. There were no injuries reported as a result of the incident.
