On 16 April 2026, at approximately 11:45 a.m., a fire broke out at a single-storey house that owned by U Tin Htun Aung, in Nwar Lay Kone Quarter, Ward No. (10), Shwebo Township, Sagaing Region. The fire was caused by overheating of the main electrical switchboard. According to the report, firefighters from the Shwebo District Fire Station and Shwebo Township Fire Station, together with auxiliary firefighters, responded with three fire engines and one water bowser to extinguish the fire. The fire was successfully extinguished at 12:15 p.m. Due to the fire, one single-storey house was destroyed. It is also reported that U Tin Htun Aung was charged by Shwebo Myoma Police Station under Case No. (P)65/2026, Section 285 of the Penal Code.
