On 4 March 2026 at 10:00 hours, at the meeting hall of the Shwepyithar Industrial Zone (1) and Wa Ta Ya Industrial Zone Committee Office, located in Ward (1), Shwepyithar Township, Yangon Region, a fire safety awareness and prevention program was conducted. The program was led by the Yangon Region Fire Services Department, Director U Min San Aye, together with District Fire Officer, Assistant Director U Myint Oo, Staff Officers from Township Fire Services Department, firefighters, and auxiliary firefighters. The event was attended by the Industrial Zone Chairman, responsible officials, and business owners from 126 factories and workshops. Activities included fire safety awareness talks, practical fire extinguishing demonstrations, an explanation of the reporting system to the Fire Services Department using the 191 Report Mobile Application, distribution of pamphlets, providing advice on fire safety matters, and giving further guidance on necessary preventive measures.
