On 4 March 2026 at 10:00 hours, in Thapyekone Ward, Mingala Taungnyunt Township, Yangon Region, at the corner of Set Yone Road and Banyar Dala Road, fire safety inspection and awareness activities were carried out at Mingala Mon Market, Shwe Mingala Market, Mingala Market (New), Mingala Market (Temporary), and Shwe Pyae Sone Market.The activities were led by the Township Fire Officer, together with fire services personnel and relevant organizations. They conducted inspections on electrical wiring and equipment installed for fire prevention, as well as firefighting equipment kept within the markets to ensure readiness for use. In addition, fire safety awareness pamphlets were distributed, and explanations were provided on how to report incidents to the Fire Services Department using the 191 Report Mobile Application.
