On 3 March 2026 at 10:00 a.m., fire prevention and safety inspection activities were conducted at Hanthawaddy Tax-Free Market, located in Kamayut Township, Yangon Region. Firefighters from the Kamayut Township Fire Station, in cooperation with relevant organizations, inspected the fire safety systems installed inside and outside the market. The inspection covered the condition of electrical wiring and switches in the shop stalls, the safety of electricity usage, the condition of emergency fire extinguishers, the water level in fire reservoirs inside the market, and the water output status of fire hydrants. Fire safety awareness leaflets were also distributed to market vendors and visitors.
