On June 13, 2025, at approximately 5:50 AM, a car fire broke out  at the Nay Pyi Taw–Yangon Expressway between mile posts (64/2) and (64/3), in Daik-U Township, Bago Region. a white SUZUKI Carry Pickup vehicle bearing license plate YGN-84(G/2505), driven by Thet Paing Soe from Nay Pyi Taw towards Yangon, experienced a wire short circuit while in motion. As smoke began to emit from the underside of the vehicle, the driver pulled over to the side of the road. A fire then broke out in the seat cushion area. Upon receiving the report, firefighters from the Oatshitgone Highway Fire Station responded with one fire truck and managed to extinguish the fire by 6:20 AM. As a result of the fire, the white SUZUKI Carry Pickup was completely destroyed. No injuries were reported. The driver, Thet Paing Soe, has been charged under Case No. (Pa) 24/2025, Section 285 of the Penal Code by the Oatshitgone Highway Police Station.
