On May 11, 2025, at around 3:27 p m, an oil bowser fire broke out at the compound of (100x80) ft  the owner U Myint Zaw Oo yard that located on Kywe Sae Kan (8) Road, Chanmyathazi Ward, Pyigyidagun Township, Mandalay Region. The fire started when residual diesel (approximately 95 gallons) was being transferred from a Nissan Diesel 10-wheeler fuel tanker into plastic containers. The fire was triggered by static electricity. Upon receiving the report, firefighters from Maha Aung Myay District Fire Station, Pyigyidagun Township Fire Station, Chanmyathazi Auxiliary Fire Station, Tagon Taing Auxiliary Fire Station, Yadanar Auxiliary Fire Station, Theinkone Auxiliary Fire Station, and Lawka Parla Auxiliary Fire Station extinguished the fire with one command vehicle, eight fire engines, and two water bowsers. The fire was brought under control and extinguished by 3:38 p m. Due to the fire, The entire fuel tank (bowser) of the Nissan Diesel 10-wheeler truck was destroyed and the rear left side of a Honda Fit vehicle was also damaged. U Min Zaw Win, the person responsible, is being prosecuted by the Pyigyidagun Township Police Station under case number (Pa) 84/2025, in accordance with Section 285 of the Penal Code.
