On February 9, 2025, at approximately 3:43 PM, a fire broke out at a (10x24) ft, single-story kitchen building with a steel structure that owned by U Win Htay, located in Ywar Thar Quarter, Ward No. (4), Minbu Town, Minbu District, Magway Region. The fire started due to an overheated water pump, which led to an electrical short circuit, igniting nearby stored diesel fuel. According to the report, firefighters from Minbu District Fire Station cooperative with auxiliary firefighters responded to the fire with two fire trucks and one water tanker. The fire was successfully extinguished by 4:00 PM. Due to the fire a 50-gallon diesel container and one water pump were destroyed. The owner, U Win Htay, has been charged under Section 285 of the Penal Code at Minbu Township Police Station under case number (Pa) 13/2025.
