On October 25, 2024, at approximately 7:55 a.m., continuous rainfall in Myingyan Township, Mandalay Region, caused the water levels of Pyaung Pya Creek to rise, leading to flooding in low-lying areas of Ward 2, Ward 3, Ward 4, and Ward 5, affecting residential homes. Upon receiving the report, firefighters and auxiliary fire units from Myingyan District/Township Fire Stations coordinated with relevant organizations to assist in relocating affected residents. The operations concluded at 10:45 a.m.Due to the incident, a total of 150 households, including 170 men and 150 women from the flooded wards, were successfully relocated to the homes of relatives in safer areas.
