On September 14, 2024, at approximately 7:00 AM, heavy rainfall in Myittha Township, Mandalay Region, caused flooding in Shwe Pauk Kyun Village, Shan Pway Ward, Shwe Thu Htay Ward, and Min Kon Ward. Reports indicated that floodwaters entered residential homes in these areas. According to the report, SAR  members from the Mandalay Region Fire Services Department, in collaboration with relevant organizations, carried out evacuation and relief efforts. The operations were completed by 6:00 PM the same day. As a result of the evacuation efforts, in total, 1,798 households comprising 6,254 individuals were successfully evacuated to safety.
