At about 9:50 AM on 11 November 2025, a fire broke out at a 10×25 ft, single-story shop owned by U Sai Myint Oo located on Sin Taung Road, Ward 9, Quarter 2, Lashio Township, Shan State. The fire started when household electrical appliances being used through a solar-powered battery caused the battery to overheat and emit sparks. The sparks then fell onto packaged paper/cardboard boxes containing shop goods, igniting them and causing the fire to spread. According to the report, firefighters from the Lashio District/Township Fire Stations, together with auxiliary firefighters, responded with one support vehicle, two fire engines, and two water bowsers. The fire was extinguished at 10:20 AM. Due to the fire, the 10×25 ft shop building, one 110cc motorbike, and various items inside the shop were destroyed.
